“Last night I had a dream I was beside the ocean. I pulled out a glass and dipped it into the water. I drank it all, it tasted like everything an ocean would taste like: alage, seaweeds, salt and fish. The water restored me.”
During this time my body was going through a spiral of depletion. I felt lost in it while taking small steps to encourage rest and nutrition.
I was called to eat seaweed and drink dark infusions of nettle. Recently while listening to Susun Weed’s talk show she mentioned drinking warm molasses water for new mothers. I’ve begun doing this as well.
I thought back to one of the Goddess chants I heard a few years ago, and thought I would share it here. The song relates to my dream memory of primordial nutrition.
