I practice a form of abdominal massage, passed down from Don Elijio Panti of Belize. This system of bodywork brings deep support to the musculoskeletal body, organs and spirit.
Abdominal massage is a non-invasive and external manipulation that guide abdominal organs and uterus into alignment, for optimal movement of life force. This can support digestive function, emotional stagnation, lymphatic and blood flow, menstrual concerns and bring ease to the nervous system. As needed, there are lumbar and sacrum techniques that can be utilized. I have been trained to work with clients from preconception to postpartum. Sessions may include pelvic steams, herbal oils, hip swaddles (faja), dreamwork, acupressure, moxa, herbal and floral baths, closing of the bones, castor oil packs on womb or sacrum and you will be taught how to perform abdominal strokes on yourself.
I am currently practicing at the Carnelian Center in Dixon,NM and at a private residence in Cedar crest,NM. This work is donation based.
I am also sharing this work through walk-in clinics and parent circles which are free for parents, thanks to the Brindle Foundation and Jenny Rizzo of Breathing into Roots.
